Within your FOREVER Box, all photos will be scanned at 600 DPI and delivered as a JPG file for easy saving and sharing. This resolution is the standard almost all photos are printed at, so scanning at a higher DPI usually won't provide a higher quality end result.
Additionally, photos are scanned into albums as specified by the grouping you pack them in, and in the order in which we receive them. If photos are loose in a bag they may slide around and become rearranged, if that happens our technicians will do their best to still scan the photos in the way they arrived.
Recommendations to Keep Your Photos in Order
- Group around 25 images and use a smaller bag to pack them in (such as sandwich bags).
- Stack and group photos with a rubber band (avoid overly tight or loose bands).
- Store in protective pages (extra fees apply for removal and replacement).
After the conversion process from physical to digital, the digitized images can be renamed and/or rearranged as you'd like in your Permanent Storage, once downloaded on the computer, or on the flash drive you had ordered!
