Understanding the Stages of Advantix/APS Film Cartridges
Advantix/APS film cartridges go through four stages, and it’s important to determine the stage of your film before sending it in for digitization.
1️⃣ Unexposed – No pictures were taken; the roll is unused.
2️⃣ Partially Exposed – Some exposures were used, but the film is not yet processed. It must be developed before we can scan the negatives.
3️⃣ Fully Exposed – All exposures were used, but the film still needs to be processed before scanning.
4️⃣ Processed – The film has been developed, and the negatives are ready for digitization.
📌 The FOREVER® Digitization Center can only digitize Advantix/APS film cartridges that are in Stage 4 (Processed).
Important Notes Before Sending Your Film
⚠️ Unexposed film (Stage 1) cannot be digitized and will be returned to you unprocessed.
⚠️ Do NOT open a partially or fully exposed cartridge (Stages 2 or 3), as this will damage any images on the film.
⚠️ If your roll is processed (Stage 4), we strongly advise against removing the negatives yourself, as this could lead to tearing or smudging.
By ensuring your Advantix/APS film is processed before sending it to the FOREVER® Digitization Center, we can help preserve your memories with the highest quality digitization. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to our support team.
Please note that FOREVER Box is only able to digitize APS/Advantix film cartridges that are at Stage 4.
