Get Started with Cover Designer
Follow these four easy steps to get started designing your Album covers.
1. Navigate Your Storage
The first step is to log in to your FOREVER.com account and either create a new Album or navigate into an existing one. The great part of Cover Designer is it doesn't require you to have memories already in the Album so no extra organization needed — you can start right away!
2. Open Cover Designer
Click the three dots in the upper right of the Album, then choose "Cover Designer" near the top of the list.
Or you can click the current cover photo, then choose "Cover Designer" in the upper right.
3. Be Creative
Once in the Cover Designer let your creativity shine! Either choose a ready-made template or start from scratch; pick from a few stock photos or use your own memories in the Album. Truly make it your own!
-
File provides a few additional resources to make the most of your designing.
- Snapping/Guides: Turn this On to have assistance aligning elements with each other, or Off to have full freedom to place elements where you'd like.
- Save: Although there is an automatic saving system as long as you have an internet connection, you can manually make sure your designing is saved.
- Download: Want to share your design with others, or use the cover photo another way? You can now download it as a regular JPG file!
- Reset: This completely clear the workspace to be a blank sheet so you can start over with your designing.
- Suggest Improvement: Do you have an idea of how the Cover Design experience can improve? Noticed something that isn't working the way you're expecting? We want to hear from you!
- Undo and Redo buttons to go back to a previous design or continue with a certain change.
- "Save Current as Template" lets you carry over a template design so you can have the same or similar designs across multiple Albums in your storage account. To access the template again, simply open the Cover Designer and at the bottom of the Templates panel will be your designs!
- On the left panel there are 4 options:
- Templates allow you to choose a predesigned layout that you can adjust as much or as little as you'd like.
- Photos show all the images available in the current Album. Make sure you have the photos you need organized into the Album before starting your design — they can always be removed after the cover photo is created.
- Text lets you customize your cover by changing the font, style, size, color, formatting, transparency, and text box dimensions. Add one or several, and freely move them anywhere on the cover!
- Shapes enhance your design through choosing the silhouette, stroke, size, transparency, and even color (including transparent).
4. Save and Review
Once you've finished designing your new cover photo, click the "Apply Album Cover" button in the upper right. You will be given one final review of the fully rendered cover photo. Look it over and click either "Back to Editor" to continue designing, or "Apply Album Cover" to confirm your design (you may need to scroll down for these options).
The cover photo now becomes a regular JPG image in your account! It will automatically apply to be the cover photo for the Album you had originally chosen to work in, but you can edit it like other photos. This includes updating the Description, changing the Date Taken, or even adding it to other Albums.
