Whether you're capturing bursts of moments, rapid snapshots, or near-duplicate shots, the Declutter tool focuses on time-based grouping that simplifies the process of reviewing and cleaning up images. You have access to this tool within your Gallery, Albums, Tags, or People - giving you full control over what to keep and what to remove!
To use Declutter, follow these three simple steps...
1. Navigate Your Storage
The first step is to log in to your FOREVER.com account and navigate to where you want to start decluttering. You have this option from your Gallery or within a specific Album, Tag, or Person of choice. Simply go to that part of your account, then click the "Declutter" button in the upper right to get started!
In this example, we're decluttering from an Album. So we navigated to the specific Album, clicked the three dots in the upper right, then chose "Declutter" from the list.
2. Adjust Filters
You can apply filters to sort through your content. This includes adjusting the date range for when the photos were taken, as well as the time interval for how far apart the photos were taken. You can adjust these two areas as much as you'd like to change the photos shown.
In this example, since we already gathered photos from a select timeframe together we didn't need to use the "Select a Date Range" button. But we did adjust the time interval to show only photos taken within 40 seconds of each other. That gave us two groups of 3 similar photos each.
3. Start Decluttering!
Start your decluttering process to remove or delete those images you no longer need! You have the option to do this either quick or as a batch.
Quick Select
From this overview page, you can quickly delete photos within a grouping by pressing the red X in the upper corner of the thumbnail.
Or if you're working from an Album, Tag, or person's People profile, you can simply choose to remove them from that particular area.
Batch Select
Otherwise you can click one of the photos within the grouping to zoom in and see it larger. This makes it easy to review every detail and even select multiple photos for removal or deletion at once. This is great if you have many grouped photos or images whose thumbnails look very similar to each other, so you can better tell which one you'd like to keep!
In this example from an Album, you have the button options at the bottom to remove the selected photos from the Album or move them to your Delete Bin.
