If you’re using iOS 11 or later, you may have noticed that photos taken with your iPhone or iPad camera are saved as HEIC files instead of the previous format, JPG. This newer proprietary file format was introduced by Apple to offer better compression while still preserving image quality. The current concern with HEIC is that it’s not widely compatible with other apps or devices (including FOREVER® Storage and desktop software).
The FOREVER Mobile App does automatically convert HEIC to JPG during the upload process via your mobile device. However, you are not able to upload HEIC images to FOREVER via your desktop web app.
Once you have HEIC formatted photos, you'll need to convert them to JPG using a converting service, many of which are free if you search online for "HEIC to JPG converter" or something similar.
