Having trouble uploading your photos or videos in the FOREVER® Mobile App on your iPhone or iPad? Whether you’re using Auto Sync or manually uploading files, this guide covers the most common steps to resolve this issue quickly.
✅ Log Out and Log In
Sometimes a fresh session is all it takes:
- Open the Mobile App and click the hamburger menu (☰) in the upper left-hand corner.
- Select Log Out at the bottom of the menu.
- Fully close the app (swipe up from the app switcher).
- Wait at least 30 seconds, then reopen the app.
- Log in using the email and password associated with your FOREVER® account.
🔄 Check for Updates
An outdated app version can interfere with syncing.
- Open the App Store and search for "FOREVER", then tap Update if a newer version is available.
- Alternatively, inside the FOREVER Mobile App, open the hamburger menu (☰) and find the version listed—compare it with the latest version listed here.
🔓 Allow Full Access to App
Privacy settings may limit app access after iOS updates.
- Go to iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Photos.
- Tap FOREVER®, then select All Photos (or Full Access).
Try manually uploading a photo from within the app to confirm access is restored.
📥 Verify Internal Storage
The FOREVER Mobile App can only upload files that are stored locally on your device.
- If using iCloud, make sure Download and Keep Originals is enabled. You can check using these steps: iCloud & Auto Sync Guide
- Using another service such as Google Photos, Dropbox, or Amazon Drive? Search online for "how to download photos from [your cloud provider] to iPhone/iPad" or something similar.
🌐 Check Your Internet Connection
If using Wi-Fi:
- Ensure your signal is strong and stable.
- Restart your router if needed.
If using Cellular Data:
- In iOS Settings, verify that Cellular Data is ON for the app.
- In the FOREVER® app, go to Menu > Settings and make sure Cellular Data is enabled.
For more assistance, see Apple’s guide to check Wi-Fi or Cellular settings.
📡 Background App Refresh
Auto Sync relies on this feature to run in the background.
🔗 Learn more about Background App Refresh
- Go to iOS Settings > General > Background App Refresh.
- Make sure it's turned ON and set to Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi & Cellular.
- Ensure it’s also enabled specifically for the FOREVER® app.
🔁 Restart Your Device
Restarting your device clears temporary files and helps all apps run more smoothly. Simply power your iPhone or iPad off, wait a few seconds, and turn it back on.
♻️ Reinstall the App (Use with Caution)
As a last step, you can delete and reinstall the app:
- Uninstall the FOREVER Mobile App.
- Restart your iOS device.
- Reinstall the app from the App Store.
- Log back in to your FOREVER account.
⚠️ Important Notes:
- Upload history (green banner on photos) will be lost.
- Already-uploaded memories won’t be uploaded again due to de-duplication.
- Deleted items in your FOREVER® account may re-upload if still on your device.
