Ensure Artisan is Up to Date Check your Artisan software version in our continually updated article: What is the current version of Artisan®?. If your version is outdated, update it using one of these methods:

Artisan 6: Open the program and click Get Updates in the lower left corner.

Any Version: Uninstall and reinstall Artisan from your FOREVER account's Downloads area.
Check for Windows Updates If Artisan is up to date but your Windows system isn't, this can cause compatibility issues. Follow these steps to manually check for updates:

Click Start and select Settings (or search for "Settings").

Go to Update & Security and click Check for Updates.

Install any available updates (optional or security updates can be skipped).

Restart your computer.
Verify System Requirements Ensure your computer meets the minimum requirements for Artisan:
Check Antivirus Software If multiple antivirus programs are running, they may interfere with Artisan. To check:

Open Settings, search for Control Panel, and select it.

Navigate to System and Security > Security and Maintenance.

Expand the Security section and click View in Windows Security.

Under "Who's protecting me?", select Manage Providers.

Ensure only one antivirus program is active.

If necessary, search online for steps to allow Artisan through your antivirus.
Whitelist Artisan Files To prevent antivirus interference, ensure these files are unblocked:

Artisan 6:
C:\Program Files\Forever\Artisan 6\Artisan6.exe
C:\Program Files\Forever\Artisan 6\LocalStorage.exe
C:\Program Files\Forever\Artisan 6\OrderProviders\ForeverPrint\ForeverPrintTrayA6.exe

Check Free Storage Space Artisan requires sufficient storage to function properly. To check available space:

Open File Explorer and click This PC.

Check the free space on C: Drive and any external storage.
If storage is below 4GB, consider:

Deleting unnecessary files (e.g., old downloads or duplicate photos).

Removing temporary files:
C:\Windows\Temp
(skip files in use). -
Emptying your Recycle Bin (see steps below).

Running Disk Cleanup (Microsoft Guide).

Using an external or second internal drive.
Empty Recycle Bin Files in the Recycle Bin take up space. To empty it:

Quick Method: Right-click the Recycle Bin on your desktop and select Empty Recycle Bin.

Manual Method:

Open File Explorer and navigate to Local Disk (C:).

Open the Recycle Bin folder.
-
Select files and delete them permanently.
