How to copy files from another user to my FOREVER® account

There are two ways to copy memories (photos, videos, documents, etc.) from another FOREVER® user's account into your own:

1. Using a Share Link
2. Through a Connection

In both cases, you can copy over a single file, multiple files, or even an entire Album! Once copied you can then organize them as normal files in your account's Storage.

🔗 Option 1: Using a Share Link

The most direct method is for the other person to send you a Share Link to the files, Album, or Tag.

🖼️ Copy a Single File

1. Click the Share Link given to you by the other user.
2. When viewing the one shared file in the lightbox, click the Copy button at the top.
3. The memory will be saved to your Gallery. You can choose whether to copy just the files or also include Tags already on the files.

🗃️ Copy Multiple Files (or a Shared Tag)

1. Open the Share Link containing the group of files.
2. Click the circle in the upper corner of each file's thumbnail to select them.
   💡 Tip: To select multiple quickly: click the first file, hold Shift, then click the last file and all the files between those two will also select.
3. Press the Copy button at the top to add the files to your Gallery. You can choose whether to copy just the files or also include Tags already on the files.

📁 Copy an Entire Album

1. Open the Share Link leading to the other user's Album.
2. Click the “Copy Album” button near the top.
3. ⚠️ Warning: Nested Albums inside will NOT be copied automatically. You’ll need to copy those separately and manually re-nest them in your account.

👥 Option 2: Through a Connection

This method allows you to copy files from someone in your FOREVER Connections, as long as they’ve shared an Album with you.

✅ First Steps

1. Connect First

• Ensure the other user is in your Connections list. If not, you can send them a Connection request.
• They must share the Album with you. They can set the Album privacy to Public, Connections, or share with a specific Group you belong to.

2. Access the Shared Album

• Log in to your FOREVER account.
• Go to the Connections tab.
• Find the person and click their name or profile photo.
• View the shared Album on their profile (or navigate to a Nested Album, if needed).

🗃️ Copy the Files or Album

• To copy the whole Album, Click the “Copy Album” button near the top.
  ⚠️ Warning: Nested Albums inside will NOT be copied automatically. You’ll need to copy those separately and manually re-nest them in your account.
• To copy one or more individual files:
  • Select the files (click and/or use Shift + Click).
  • At the top, click the Copy button.
  • Choose whether to copy just the files or also include Tags.

🗂️ After Copying

Once files are in your FOREVER account, you can:

• Organize them into Albums
• Add Tags
• Bulk edit the files
• Use them in Artisan® projects
