Once you and the other FOREVER® user(s) are connected with each other, you can sort them into one or many Groups. These self-created Groups can be allowed specific access to Albums you have assigned to them. CLICK HERE to learn how to invite people to become members of your Connections.
This is a great way for grouping people in your life so you can share only the memories that you want them to see exclusively. Here are a few Group examples to get started: "Family", "Friends", "Coworkers", "Kid's Sport Team", "My Running Buddies", etc. You can have the same Connection in multiple Groups, like if a coworker is also your running buddy they can be in both Groups to have access to each grouping's specific Albums!
Please note that your Connections will NOT see what Group they are in. Only you and your Account Manager(s) can see that specific information. You can also edit, change, and update the Group(s) your Connections are in at any time!
Creating a Group
You can create a Group by navigating into your FOREVER account Connections area and clicking on Groups. From here you can click the "Add New" button in the upper right, or "Add New Group" at the end of your Groups list to create a new grouping.
It will then ask for a Group Name and give you the option to also add a Group Description if you'd like. Again, your Connections will NOT see this information.
Editing a Group
Once the Group is created, you can click into it to have more options for editing. This includes...
- Add Members = Place your specified Connections into this grouping
- Edit Info = Change the Group name or description
- Add Thumbnail = Choose a picture to represent the Group
- Add Albums = Grant or remove access to specific Albums for this grouping
- Delete = Completely remove this Group from your account, please note this action CANNOT be undone (the members will stay in your Connections and any other Groups you have them in)
Adding or Removing Groups within an Album
You can add or remove specific Groups while working within an Album as well! Simply go into the parent Album you want to change access to, then click either the "Share" button at the top or "Edit Info" under the thumbnail picture.
In the pop-up window, under Privacy Settings, you can then change which Group(s) this Album and all Nested Albums within are shared with. Simply select the "Groups" privacy option (if not already chosen) then checkmark the Group(s) you want to allow access. Click "Done" next to Groups to see only the chosen Groups listed together, then click "Save" in the bottom right to implement these changes to your Album's privacy.
To note, you can also create a New Group in this area, however, you will need to go into your Connections > Groups area to add members to it (see Editing a Group section above).
