When using Artisan® on Windows 11, it’s essential to install new True Type (.ttf) fonts with the option “Install for All Users”. This ensures that the software can properly recognize and use the fonts.
Install New Fonts with "Install for All Users"
Download the True Type font you want to install.
Right-click the font file and select “Install for All Users” (instead of just “Install”).
NOTE: If you don't see the option for all users, choose Show More Options > Install.
Handling Already Installed Fonts
If your fonts are already installed but not appearing in Artisan, you can follow these steps from a Microsoft Community post:
- Press Win key (or Windows icon button) + R to open the Run dialog box.
- Paste %appdata%\..\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Fonts and press Enter.
- You should see all your installed fonts (if not, copy/paste your fonts here), press Ctrl + A to select all the font files.
- While all the files are selected, right click any one of the files and choose to Show more options.
- Press "Install for all users", not "Install" — it will be the one with the shield icon and requires administrator privileges.
- Let the computer install all the fonts (if get an error you can click OK and it should continue installing the remaining fonts).
By following these instructions, you can ensure your fonts are correctly installed and fully accessible for your Artisan projects on Windows 11!
