Print Tray issues can prevent you from uploading or completing your Artisan® print projects. Common symptoms include:
- The print tray stops working
- You can only complete the first part of a project (error: "Unable to create Project on Forever®...")
- Error message:
'Value' should be between 'minimum' and 'maximum'
- Missing TMP file error
- Print tray is missing completely
🛠️ Step-by-Step Fix
📌 Note: This process may need to be repeated 3-4 times before the upload works successfully. These steps help clear out temporary files that can block uploads. Don’t worry — your projects and other Artisan content will remain untouched.
1. Close Artisan
Make sure the Artisan program is completely closed before continuing.
2. Delete PPS Temporary Files
- Open File Explorer (Windows Explorer).
- Navigate to:
C:\Users\[Your Username]\AppData\Local\Temp
❗ Note: TheAppData
folder is hidden by default. To make it visible, follow these steps: Show Hidden Files - Delete all files in this folder that start with PPS.
3. Delete the Uploads.xml File
Go to the folder that matches your version of Artisan and delete the Uploads.xml file:

Artisan 6:
C:\Users\[Your Username]\AppData\Roaming\Forever\Artisan 6 Print Shop\Print Shop

Artisan 5:
C:\Users\[Your Username]\AppData\Roaming\Forever\Artisan 5 Print Shop\Print Shop

Artisan 4:
C:\Users\[Your Username]\AppData\Roaming\Panstoria\Artisan 4 Print Shop\Print Shop
4. Empty the Recycle Bin
After deleting the files, open your Recycle Bin and permanently remove them from there.
5. Restart Your Computer
Once everything is deleted, restart your computer to clear any cached memory.
6. Try Again
Reopen Artisan® and try uploading your project again.
If you still receive an error, repeat these steps. It may take up to 3 or 4 attempts before the issue is resolved.
