Q1: How do I access / set up my Address Book in FOREVER?
A: Log in to your FOREVER Account and hover over the Account icon in the upper right (next to the cart) to see the drop-down menu. Click on the “My Account” link. You can also access and maintain your Address Book from Artisan 6.
Q2: Can I still order blank envelopes for my cards?
A: Yes, “blank” is an option when customizing your envelope printing.
Q3: What sizes of cards can I order if I want printing on my envelopes?
A: Currently, all 5x7 and 7x5 cards offer envelope printing - including 5x7 and 7x5 folded cards
in Artisan 6.
Q4: What information is required to create a contact in my Address Book?
A: The contact’s First Name OR Last Name are required, but not both.
Q5: What other information can I include with each contact in my Address Book?
A: You can include the First Name, Last Name, Household Name, Address 1, Address 2, City, State/Province, Zip/Postal Code, and Country (in that order). Here is a link to our blog post about setting up a digital file of your contacts: https://www.forever.com/yours/forever-address-book
Q6: What should I put in the “Household Name” field?
A: The “Household Name” field allows you to enter the person’s name as you would write it on an envelope. For example, you may have a contact named Nancy Jones. But when you send her a card, you may send it to “Ms. Nancy Jones.” (Do not enter quotation marks in your Address Book) In this example, “Ms. Nancy Jones” would be the Household Name. Household Names are not required.
Q7: Do I need to have a “Household Name” for all my contacts?
A: No, you do not. If you do not have a Household Name for a specific contact, then the First Name and Last Name will be printed on the first line of the envelope.
Q8: I have both First / Last names AND Household names in my address book. How do I know which will print?
A: If you have the First/Last name AND Household name fields entered for a specific contact, then the Household name will be printed on the envelope.
If you have just the First/Last name fields entered, then the First/Last name will be printed on the envelope.
Q9: Can I get only my Return Address printed on my envelopes?
A: Yes! Your options for Envelope Printing are:
- Return and Recipient Addresses
- Return Address only
- Recipient Addresses only
Q10: How does the system know my Return Address?
A: If you are creating a card in Design & Print on our website, you will need to enter the
Return Address for each card order you place.
If you are creating a card in Artisan, you will need to enter the Return Address for your first
card order with Envelope Printing. Subsequent orders through Artisan will default to the
most recent Return Address used. You are able to edit the Return Address for each order.
Q11: How many font options does the FOREVER Print Shop offer for envelope printing?
A: We offer 2 font options for printing at this time.
Q12: What is the maximum number of cards and envelopes I can get printed with each order?
A: Currently, the maximum number of cards and envelopes that can be printed with each order is 1000. If you have over 1000 cards and envelopes to be printed, we recommend splitting them across multiple orders.
Q13: If I add contacts to my Address Book in my FOREVER Account, can I access them in Artisan?
A: Yes. Please remember that you need to make those changes in your FOREVER Account before you click the “Print Project at FOREVER Print Shop” button. If you are in the process of making selections when you add contacts in your FOREVER Account, you will need to cancel out of the upload process in Artisan 6 and click the “Print Project at FOREVER Print Shop” button again to access ALL your contacts.
Q14: If I add contacts to the Address Book while in Artisan, will they sync with my FOREVER Account?
A: Yes! After you add one or more contacts to the Address Book while in Artisan 6, log in to your FOREVER Account or refresh your browser to see the contact(s) you added.
Q15: If I order 20 cards but only choose 17 Recipient Addresses, what will be printed on the other three envelopes?
A: If you have chosen to print both Return and Recipient Addresses, ALL the envelopes will have the Return Address printed. If you have chosen to only print Recipient Addresses, the other envelopes will be blank (but you will have cards to put in them).
Q16: How can I be sure that the addresses I selected in Artisan 6 will be printed on my envelopes?
A: When you click the “Add to Cart” button for your card project, you will go to a Product Options screen. In the Envelope Options section under “Printed,” you will see a message with the number of Recipient Addresses that will be printed. You will also see a message stating if a Return Address will/will not be printed. If you are printing a Return Address, hover over the information (“i”) icon at the end of that message to see the Return Address you chose.
Q17: Does the Address Book integrate with any Customer Relationship Management systems, including LACRM?
A: Not at this time.
Q18: Will Account Managers be able to view and/or make changes to my address book?
A: No, the address book is only available to be seen and edited by the account holder.
Q19: Are there any character limits in any of the fields?
A: You can upload up to 50 characters for each field in your Address Book. If you upload more than 50 characters in any given field, we will flag that address so you can easily edit it before applying that address to a card order. When ordering your envelopes, each printable line will also have a 50-character limit.

Q20: Are there any special symbols not allowed in any of the fields? (i.e. ?, # etc.)
A: No. The Address Book accepts all special characters.
Q21: Will I be able to order additional envelopes with return address printing only?
A: Not at this time.
Q22: If we order 100 cards and only have 50 addresses we want to be printed, are we charged for 100 envelopes to be printed?
A: Yes, if you order 100 cards, and choose to have envelopes printed, the cost for printing on envelopes will apply to all 100 envelopes. Please note, if you split your order into 2 orders to avoid paying the printed envelope cost for blank envelopes, you may potentially lose your volume print discount.
Q23: How do we enter a zip code that begins with 0 in excel?
A: Some software programs that read CSV files (including Microsoft Excel), will automatically remove zeros when they are the first digit in a number. If you are using Microsoft Excel, you can avoid or fix this issue by selecting the "Postal Code" column and completing the following steps:
- Right-click at the top on the letter in the Postal Code Column
- select "Format Cells" from the menu
- Go to the "Number" tab
- Select "Category: Special"
- Choose "Type: Zip Code"
- Select "Ok"
For Numbers users on Mac
- Select the entire column by clicking the letter above the column
- Select the Format (paint brush) button in the upper right corner
- Select "Cell”
- Under "Data Format" choose "Text"
Q24: Can we order just envelopes to be printed without placing a card order?
A: At this time, envelope printing is an option connected to 5x7 and 7x5 cards and cannot be ordered separately.
Q25: Can Artisan 6 and FOREVER.com share contact lists? Is it best to enter them in one place versus the other?
A: FOREVER.com and Artisan 6 are accessing the same Address Book, meaning that any updates you make via one will be available/accessible via the other.
Q26: Can we have more than one Address Book?
A: Not at this time.
Q27: Does FOREVER offer clients the option to have their cards shipped directly to their recipients?
A: Not at this time.
