When sending cards (whether flat or folded), having a printing option on your envelopes can save you time and ensure your cards look polished and professional!
🎨 Card Envelope Printing Options
Below is a breakdown of the four different card printing options available when you place an order, including:
💡 Tips When Choosing
If you're choosing an option that includes the recipient's address, you will want to make sure your Address Book is fully updated and accurate. If you are importing addresses from a spreadsheet, use our Address Book template guide to ensure everything is added correctly and as expected.
Before submitting your order, double-check your recipient list and/or return address for accuracy. What you send in the order is what will be printed and we want to make sure you have the correct information listed.
1. Blank (no printing)
This option will not print any addresses on the envelope. You will receive a blank envelope with your cards, allowing you to handwrite both the return and recipient addresses, or even save them for another use if you're planning to hand-deliver the cards themselves!
Best for:
- Personal, handwritten touches
- Custom calligraphy
- Events where addresses may change last-minute
2. Recipient Address Only
Only the recipient's addresses will be printed on the envelope's back in the middle. You'll need to handwrite, stamp, or sticker your return address in the upper corner of them.
Best for:
- When you want to personalize the return address
- Occasions where the return address changes depending on sender (for example, sending to office teams)
3. Return Address Only
Only return addresses will be printed on the envelope's back in the upper left corner. You will still need to write or apply the recipient's address(es) yourself.
Best for:
- Saving time on writing your return address repeatedly
- Maintaining a consistent, professional look
- Holiday cards or invitations with a large guest list
4. Both (return and recipient)
With this option, both the return and recipient addresses are printed on the envelope, fully prepared for mailing - simply add a stamp!
Best for:
- Maximum convenience and time-saving
- Bulk mailings such as weddings, business correspondence, or large event invitations
- A uniform, professional presentation
