📦 Tracking My Digitization Box
- You can track the status or prior history of your FOREVER® Digitization Box anytime through your account in the Digitization Projects area.
- There is a visual Project Tracker shows each step of the process—from order to return—that updates in real-time as your box moves through stages like shipping, digitization, and review.
📁 Viewing My Digitized Memories
- Your memories will be available for 90 days after they're marked "Ready to View," or permanently if added to Permanent Storage.
- As the Digitization Project owner, you can view, download, share, and manage your memories during the active period.
🔗 Sharing My Digitization Project
- You can send a unique share link to recipients who can can view, browse, and download your digitized memories.
- Sharing is unlimited while the project is active, but once it expires the sharing option disappears unless you extend the time or purchase Permanent Storage.

- The ultimate goal is to keep your memories protected for your lifetimes plus 100 years so they can be accessed and shared for many generations.

⏳ Box Expirations & Extensions
- Digitization Projects are viewable for 90 days, after which they expire unless you have chosen to make it permanent or extend another 90 days.
- Once a project expires, access ends and share links no longer work directly to the temporary Digitization Project. Additionally, the Project thumbnail image will change if it expired over a year ago.
📦 Tracking My Digitization Box
Q1. Where can I see the status of my FOREVER Digitization Box?
You can view your order’s status by going to your Digitization Projects in your FOREVER® Account, on the web, mobile and tv apps:
The easiest way to view your Digitization Project status is to hover over the person icon in the upper right (or click your profile photo) on Digitization Projects. You will then see a list of all of your Digitization Projects and their current status’.
Each order has a visual Project Tracker that shows where your box is in the process - from “FOREVER Box Ordered” to “Ready to View” and “Shipped Back to You”.
Q2. What does each step in the Project Tracker mean?
- FOREVER Box Ordered — You’ve purchased your FOREVER Digitization Box.
- Shipped to You — Your FOREVER Digitization Box is on its way
- Box Received at FOREVER — We’ve received your box at our Digitization Facility

Memories Inventoried — We’ve inventoried all the memories in your box and entered them into our production system.
📌 Note: An invoice may be pending for any extra items before we can further process your box - In queue — Your memories are awaiting Digitization and an Estimated Completion Date is assigned.
- Being Digitized — We’re carefully processing your memories into high-quality digital files.
- Quality Review — We are reviewing your digital files to ensure they meet your high standards.
- Ready to View — Your memories are complete and ready to view for 90 days
- Shipped Back to You — Your memories have been packaged with care and sent back to you.
Q3. How often is the Project Tracker updated?
The tracker updates automatically as your box moves through each stage (shipping, receiving, inventorying, digitizing, reviewing, shipping back to you, etc.). Updates happen in real-time as each stage of your Digitization Project is completed by our team.
Q4. My Project Tracker status hasn’t updated in a while. Should I be concerned?
Rest assured, your memories are in good hands! Some stages, like in queue, digitization or quality review, can take several days depending on order volume and the contents of your box.
If your tracker hasn't updated in 4 or more business days, feel free to contact Client Care with any questions regarding the current status of your order.
Q5. Why has my Project Tracker collapsed? How do I expand it?
Once your order is complete, the tracker is collapsed by default to make more room for viewing memories! To expand it, just click the arrow next to the status badge at the top of your order.
Q6. Why does my Project Tracker say “Save FOREVER”?
That’s a helpful reminder that your memories are Digitized, but haven’t been made permanent with FOREVER Storage yet. You can click the “Save FOREVER” button to start the process and preserve your memories for your lifetime and future generations to come.
Q7: Can I see the history of what’s been done to my FOREVER Digitization Box?
Yes! The details of your box will always be available in your FOREVER Digitization Project view. This includes completed boxes. However, if you have not saved FOREVER within your temporary viewing timeframe, you may not see the digital memories in this area anymore.
Q8: My memories are ready to view, but the tracker doesn’t show that my physical items have been shipped back to me. Why?
Once your memories have passed Quality Review, your digitized files will immediately become available for you to view.
However, we take extra care when preparing your physical items for return. It typically takes 3–5 business days for your completed Project to be inventoried, packed up, and returned to you safely and securely. Rest assured you’ll see the tracker update as soon as they’ve been shipped and you’ll also receive an update via email.
📁 Viewing My Digitized Memories
Q1. How do I view the memories from my Digitization Project?
Once your box is complete, go to the Digitization Projects view in your account.
The easiest way to view your Digitization Project status is to hover over the person icon in the upper right (or click your profile photo) on Digitization Projects. You will then see a list of all of your Digitization Projects and their current status’.
Once there, click on your FOREVER Box Number to open the Detail View and you’ll see all your digitized memories ready to enjoy and share.
Q2. How long can I view, download, copy to my FOREVER Account and share my digitized memories from my Digitization Projects?
All digitized memories are available in your Digitization Projects for 90 days. If you save your Digitized memories to FOREVER, they will appear for your lifetime plus 100 years. And, you’ll also get an additional 90 days to stream and enjoy your newly digitized video memories - for a total of 180 days!
For projects that have not yet expired and have not yet been saved FOREVER, you can purchase a 90-day extension if you wish.
📌 Note: The price of the 90-day extension depends on the amount of storage needed.
Q3. What can I do with my Digitized Memories within my projects view?
After clicking into a box within your Digitization Projects, you can do the following:
- Choose a Digitization Project cover image (if you're the project owner)
- Make these memories Permanent if you have not already done so
- Share the Digitization Project with others, as long as it has not yet expired
- Click or tap a memory to open its Lightbox view, then...
- Zoom in on photos
- Watch videos
- View Info panel (e.g. media type, file size)
- Share an individual memory with others, if the Digitization Project has not yet expired
- Download individual files or multiple groups
Q4. Can I download my memories?
Yes! If you are the Digitization Project owner and your Digitization Project is still active (not yet expired), on the web you'll see a Download button. Click the button to open a window where you can download ZIP folders of your digitized memories.
For the mobile apps:
iOS: you can download individual memories to your device
Android: you can download full Digitization Projects to your device
We recommend storing your precious memories in FOREVER Permanent Storage so you never need to digitize them again!
Q5: Can I view my digitized memories on my phone, tablet, or TV?
Yes - once your memories are ready, you can view them across your devices.
Simply sign in to your FOREVER account on the iOS or Android mobile app, your mobile browser, or the FOREVER apps on Google TV and Fire TV to watch and enjoy your memories wherever it’s most convenient.
Q6. What if I need more time to review my memories before purchasing FOREVER Permanent Storage?
If you're not ready to purchase Storage, you can buy a 90-day extension* to continue access to your memories. Just look for the prompt under "Save FOREVER" in your Digitization Projects before your project expires.

🔗 Sharing My Digitization Project
Q1: Can I share my digitized memories with others?
Absolutely! If your Digitization Project is complete and still active (not expired), you can:
- Share the entire project, using these steps:
- Navigate into the Digitization Projects area
- Find and click on your active project's FOREVER Box Number
- Use the Share button from the box detail view
- Share individual memories, using these steps:
- Click on the digitized file to open its Lightbox view
- On the top toolbar click the Share button
You'll be able to send a link via email or copy the link to share however you'd like.
Q2. What do recipients see when I share my memories?
With a share link, recipients will be able to:
- View all the memories in the main list or in a slideshow
- Browse and view individual memories
- Download the memories to their computer or mobile device
Q3. Why can't I share my Digitization Project?
If your Project is expired, the Share button will no longer appear. Before your project viewing access expires, and to ensure that you don't lose the sharing option, you can either:
- Purchase a time extension for your memories; or
- Save the Digitization Project to FOREVER.
Q4. Is there a limit to how many times I can share my memories from my Digitization Projects?
Nope! You can share your memories as many times as you like, as long as the Digitization Project is not expired. Once the Digitization Project is expired, the share link the share link from your Digitization Projects (for the entire project as well as to individual memories) is no longer active.
To retain a permanent share link for your digitized memories, you will need to click on "Save FOREVER" in the upper right corner of your Digitization Project on the web, or the lower right corner of your Digitization Project in your mobile app. If you do not have enough Permanent Storage you will be prompted to purchase some right away.
You can then go to your Gallery to share some or all of your Digitized memories, or go to the FOREVER Box Number Album for the Digitization Project and share your memories from there.
☁️ Saving My Digitization Project FOREVER
Q1. How can I keep my digitized memories safe for generations?
Your memories matter—and FOREVER Permanent Cloud Storage is built to protect them for your lifetime plus 100 years, with a goal of preserving for many generations beyond. To keep your digitized memories safe and accessible for generations, you can purchase FOREVER Storage when you click "Save FOREVER" to make your Digitization Project permanent!
Here's how:
- Go to your Digitization Projects
- Open your FOREVER Box Number to see the detail page
- Click “Save FOREVER”
- If you already have enough Permanent Storage space, the transfer will begin automatically!
- If not, you’ll be prompted to choose a storage option, or you can purchase a 90-day extension.
📌 Note: If you purchase a 24-month installment plan, you will have access to the full amount you're paying towards immediately.
Once permanent, your memories:

Q2. Once I've saved my memories FOREVER, where can I find them?
Once made permanent, your memories will be in your:
Digitization Projects, labeled by your FOREVER Box Number
Gallery, where all of your memories are preserved
Albums, within a parent Album labeled by your FOREVER Box Number
Q3. I’ve purchased storage and made my memories permanent - why do I still see “Saving FOREVER”?
No worries - this just means your memories are in the process of being safely transferred to your FOREVER Storage. The time it takes can vary depending on the size of your project.
While the transfer is happening:
- The button will show “Saving FOREVER”
- The “Saving FOREVER” button will be temporarily disabled to prevent duplicate actions
Once everything is securely stored, the Saving FOREVER button will disappear.
Q4. What is Auto-Transfer, and how do I turn it on or off?
Auto-Transfer is a setting that automatically moves your completed Digitization Projects into your Permanent Storage*, so your memories are preserved without any extra steps. If you own FOREVER Permanent Storage, this setting will be enabled automatically.
To turn Auto-Transfer on or off:
- Go to your Digitization Projects
- Click on the three dots in the upper right, then choose Digitization Settings
- From here, toggle the Auto-Transfer option either On or Off
*Important: Auto-Transfer will only work if you have enough available Permanent Storage in your FOREVER account to fit all of the digitized memories within the project. If you don't have enough, you'll need to purchase more Storage before the Digitization Project can be transferred.
Q5. I see a "Share" button on some of my Digitization Projects that have been saved FOREVER, but not on others. Why is that?
Great question! The difference you're seeing is related to whether your Project had expired before being saved FOREVER or not:
- Projects that were saved FOREVER before their expiration date may still show a "Share" button within your Digitization Projects area. This is because some features (like video streaming) are still available in that view.
- Projects that already expired after being saved FOREVER typically won't show a "Share" button in your Digitization Projects. However, these Projects now live in your FOREVER Storage where standard sharing options apply!
⏳ Expirations & Extensions
Q1. My Project is about to expire - can I get more time to view my memories?
Yes! If you're not quite ready to purchase FOREVER Storage within the first 90 days, you can extend access to your digitized memories by purchasing 90 additional days*.
This gives you more time to view, share, and decide if you would like to make them permanent—without losing access or rushing your decision. You’ll see the extension option in your Digitization Projects when you click the button to “Save FOREVER”.

Q2. What happens when a Digitization Project expires?
Your digitized memories are available for 90 days after they become available to view within your Digitization Projects. If no action is taken during this time, the order will be marked as Expired after those 90 days, and access to your project will end.
Q3. Why does my Digitization Project show an 'X' icon and not my cover photo?
The 'X' thumbnail image means the Digitization Project was either cancelled before the memories could be digitized, or was completed over a year ago and was not saved FOREVER.
Q4. What if I shared my Digitization Project before it expired? Does that same share link still work?
Unfortunately, no. Once expired, shared links no longer work to the Digitization Project they originally were with. Be sure to save your Digitization Project(s) FOREVER with FOREVER Storage so that you can preserve, share, and enjoy your memories today and for generations to come!
