It's awesome you're looking to move from Artisan® 5 to Artisan® 6! You can follow these simple steps below to move your content from Artisan 5 on one computer into Artisan 6 on your newer computer.
1. Create a Backup
First, make a backup to an external hard drive so you have a copy to move to the new computer. You do NOT want to use a cloud service or transfer cable as Artisan items may not move over correctly those ways. You can find steps for backing up a copy of your Artisan 5 content in this article.
2. Install Artisan 6
You can install Artisan 6 from either your FOREVER account Download's area, your Order Confirmation email, or by going to www.forever.com/downloads and clicking "Download Artisan 6". After the file finishes downloading, double-click to open and run the Artisan6Setup.exe file - follow the prompts from the Install Shield Wizard to complete the installation process.

3. Move Copied Content
With Artisan 6 installed on the new computer, we can now take the copied content from step 1 and paste it into the Artisan 6 location. For steps on where to paste the content, you can read this article and follow for Artisan 6.
4. Open and Activate
Simply log in with your FOREVER account email and password that purchased or was gifted Artisan 6 - no need for an Activation Code, the software will connect with your online account to get that code for you!
NOTE: Make sure to attach any external hard drive(s) that contain Digital Art Kits you want to have access to within Artisan 6. Additionally, disconnect any external hard drive(s) that are only backups for your Artisan content.

5. Double-check Content
The final step is to double-check all your content (Digital Art Kits, Tags, Categories, Projects, etc.) are showing correctly on the new computer. If any part isn't showing correctly then please close Artisan 6, recopy the content from step 1 to the new computer, then reopen the software to see if it connects.
