In your FOREVER® Storage you have the ability to edit any photo you’ve uploaded into your account. This includes cropping, adding filters, adjusting brightness or contrast, adding text, and more!
To access these features, simply click on the photo you wish to work on and click the Edit icon at the top.
After you finish editing, a copy of the original file will be created with your changes. You can choose to delete the original or keep both versions.
Photo Editing Tools
Below is a quick guide to the editing tools you can use to adjust and improve your treasured family memories. These tools will appear on the left side or bottom of your screen, depending on your screen size. Simply scroll down or click an option from this list to learn more about your editing options:
💡 Tip: To finalize and "lock in" your edits made click SAVE in the upper corner. Alternatively, click CLOSE to cancel without saving any changes made.
Transform
Use the Transform tools to crop, mirror, or rotate your photo.
With the Crop option, you can either resize your photo manually or choose from preset sizes like Facebook Title or Instagram Story. These preset sizes are already formatted for easy posting to those platforms.
At the bottom on the Transform screen, you can also mirror the image to flip it horizontally or vertically, and even rotate it left or right 90 degrees. For small, precise adjustments, use the rotation slider in the same area.
When you're done, you can switch to other editing tools or click SAVE to apply changes.
Filters
You can apply a filter to the entire photo.
Filters are grouped into categories based on their effect. Click a category to see the available filters, then select one to apply it to your photo.
Use the Filter Intensity slider to adjust how strong the effect is. You can also remove the filter completely if you change your mind.
When you're done, you can switch to other editing tools or click SAVE to apply changes.
Adjust
Use this tool to manually adjust your photo.
You’ll find a variety of options, such as Brightness, Contrast, Saturation, Gamma, Clarity, Shadows, Highlights, Exposure, and more. Move the sliders to fine-tune each setting and get the look you want.
When you're done, you can switch to other editing tools or click SAVE to apply changes.
Focus
Use the Focus tool to draw attention to a specific part of your photo.
Choose from four focus types: Radial, Mirror, Linear, or Gaussian. For example, using Radial focus makes the center (like the kids in this example) sharp, while the edges become blurry. This helps highlight the most important part of your image.
After picking a focus type, you can:
- Resize the focus area by dragging the white circle
- Adjust the blur intensity in the background using the slider
When you're done, you can switch to other editing tools or click SAVE to apply changes.
Frame
Add a frame to your photo for a fun finishing touch.
Choose from the available designs, then customize it by adjusting the opacity, size, and color to make it your own.
When you're done, you can switch to other editing tools or click SAVE to apply changes.
Overlays
Add an overlay to your photo for extra texture or effects.
Pick the overlay style you like, then customize it by adjusting the Blend Mode and Opacity. This example photo uses a soft crumpled paper texture.
When you're done, you can switch to other editing tools or click SAVE to apply changes.
Text
Add text to your image to include notes, names, or other details.
You can add multiple text boxes and customize each one by changing the font style, size, alignment, and line spacing. You can also adjust the text color and background color of the box.
To move, resize, or rotate the text, just click and drag the corners around the text on the photo. You can also duplicate or delete any text box as needed.
When you're done, you can switch to other editing tools or click SAVE to apply changes.
Stickers
For a playful touch, you can place stickers!
Choose from preset sticker categories or upload your own. You can customize the color and opacity to fit your style.
To resize, move, or rotate a sticker, click and drag the corners. When selected, you can also:
- Flip the sticker
- Duplicate it
- Delete it
When you're done, you can switch to other editing tools or click SAVE to apply changes.
Brush
Draw directly on your photo with a digital brush.
Adjust the brush size, color, and intensity to get the look you want. If you make a mistake, just click the Undo button in the upper corner to go back.
When you're done, you can switch to other editing tools or click SAVE to apply changes.
Final Saving
When you’re happy with your edits, click the SAVE button in the upper corner to save your changes.
After saving, you’ll see your edited photo in the lightbox view. Your original photo will still be saved in your account! You can choose to keep both the original and edited versions, or just keep the new edited photo in your Storage.
