    Hi Cindy Barrett!

Facial Recognition only runs when new photos are uploaded to the system.  Facial recognition will not run again on already processed photos.

I hope this helps!  Thank you for posting in the Community!

I'm wondering about this as well.  The only way I've come up with to get Forever to reprocess is to crop the photo, which makes a new copy.  Then it will reprocess the copy for faces.  I've also downloaded a set of photos from Forever, then deleted them from Forever and re-uploaded them to get it to reprocess.  If there is another way, it would be nice to know!

I have pictures from the original run that only show three people when there are four... some clearly should have been recognized. In this case, there is no box around the face... and nothing in the lightbox to add the person.  Here is an example:  https://l.forever.com/iEBA39ka

Again, this same person was not recognized:  https://l.forever.com/NPGp6yJJ

While the first photo is dark, it recognized three of the people and missed the gentleman on the left.  How do we add this person to the lightbox?  Wouldn't he have a person in the lightbox even if I have not found this in the "unnamed" folders?  He's the leader of this band; an important part of my son's life and I would like to have him named in People.

Agreed! It's so bad I'm still left with so many that it doesn't even "see" a face and it's a good clear photo. I've tried exporting and bringing them back in but it still doesn't id them. I've also cropped photos to get them to reprocess -- it says it is but no new faces show up. It is such a problem that I am reluctant to recommend it!

Hi Dionne Merriott and Sue Hammons and @Frances A Watkins

I am sorry that the system has not recognized some faces in your photos.  This is the case for all facial recognition systems - they can unfortunately miss clear faces due to certain factors.

Good news is that you can add those unrecognized photos to a person!  Just simply go to your gallery, select the photo(s) and click on Organize > Add to a Person.  This will not create the bounding box around the face in the photos Lightbox, but it will add them to that persons collection and they will show under People in the Lightbox.

    I hope that this helps!

Erika Reid, I'd be curious to know what are those factors that causes the FR to miss faces?  If I knew what I needed to do to improve the FR before I upload the photo, that would really help.  When working with families with so many faces, having that bounding box on faces is so valuable.
