Request for Animated GIFs in Forever Storage

Dear Forever Tech Team,

I would really love to see animation in gifs whilst in Forever Storage.  ❤️

When I uploaded photos and GIFs from our wedding photo booth, I was so disappointed to see that the GIFs were nothing more than static pictures.  Sure, once downloaded again, they regain their animation, but when scrolling through, storage, we miss such a lot not seeing that animation.  Animation remains in place when such files are stored in Google .. but I don't really want to resort to storing them there. 

I'd really love to see this feature added to Forever storage.  PLEASE :)😊❤️

  We released this feature when the new and improved FOREVER was launched on September 26th, 2024.  I hope you enjoy this feature and thank you for coming to Community to share your ideas!

  I did respond by email, but perhaps it did not get to you.    
  
  Sadly GIFs are still static when I access my Forever account using my PC.  Is there something I am not doing right??  Sure, GIFs are working in the app which is great, but that's not where I spend my time, and it is certainly not where we (my wife and I) usually view photos/videos, etc. 
  
  I'd be thrilled if you can help me to get GIFs working in my Forever account.

  Hi Noni Shugg

  Apologies for not getting back to you sooner.

  Currently, if you upload a GIF via the native mobile apps (Android or iOS) they will not present as an animated GIF.  We have that on our future updates list for the native mobile apps.  In the meantime, you can upload the GIF via the mobile web browser or through the desktop application.

  Erika - I'm confused.  If the functionality that was the basis of this request is actually not available, why then, has this request been marked as complete? 
  
  BTW, the GIFs were uploaded to my storage directly from my PC - not the app.
