I like this idea too.  Is this something that can be accomplished with our "groups" options that are coming soon?

I 100% agree each album should be able to have different permissions

I just got burnt because I moved a private album as a nested album to an album that I had shared and I didn't realize that the privacy setting changed to Connections and was now visible. Please allow a private album to be nested in a Connections album. Thanks. Example of how this is useful. I have an album with pictures of a person. I have personal data that I want to retain for a given person so I create an album called 'person private' and want to store it under that person's name. I like to share the person's pictures with others but don't want them to see the private information.

YES!  I have a "File cabinet" for my parents.  It is filled with personal, financial, and medical information.  I would like the POA information to be able to be shared with a group, other family members, but they don't need to see the other personal and financial information.  The only way I can do this right now is to move the album to the main level.  For me, I have just take an important file out of my file cabinet.  Not ideal in the grand idea of having organized albums.
