The FOREVER Connector (the window that displays your selected files and allows your to choose to upload to your Gallery or Albums) will only prevent duplicate uploads of files that are an exact match to the files you have stored in FOREVER.
There are a few reasons why copies of files you have in your FOREVER Account could be uploaded to FOREVER as new files:
- The “Prevent Duplicate Uploads” box was unchecked before clicking the “Upload” button.
- You edited the file in any way while working in Historian.
- The file was deleted from your FOREVER Account after being downloaded to Historian.
- The file was in your FOREVER Account first, downloaded to Historian, and you uploaded it to your FOREVER Account again. (Note: When you import a file to Historian, the file is marked as such; this is a change when the FOREVER Connector is comparing file information and therefore seen as an edited file that is different from the original in your FOREVER Account.)
Please remember that the Connector between Historian 6 and FOREVER will ONLY prevent uploading of files that are an EXACT MATCH to the ones in your FOREVER Account. It is not a 2-way sync between Historian 6 and FOREVER.
