When working in Artisan® or Historian™ you may select an action where a pop-up window should appear, but it doesn't. Now your software seems locked and all you hear is a dinging sound when you try to click anywhere in the program. This means that the pop-up window is appear outside of the normal viewing window.
This can be caused by working on two monitors but then going back to a single monitor without moving the software to the main screen. Luckily it's easy to resolve!
Before doing these steps, it's important to know where your Artisan projects or Historian cabinet/vault is saved, depending on which program you need to do these steps for. We suggest jotting down its location so you know where to go so they can be reopened. To note, the default for Artisan projects is C:/Users/your username/Documents/Artisan Projects, and the default location for a Historian cabinet/vault is C:/Users/Public/Public Documents.
