Bulk selection for "Sort by" field needed

I've been asking for years....please, please, please bring us the ability to apply the "Sort by" field in bulk to selected albums, tags, or People. It is so time-consuming to change every album, tag, and person to a different "Sort by" field. The default sort by is "Date Taken-Newest," but for scanned photos, we prefer the sort order to be by "Date Taken-Oldest." I'm sure others have their own preferences, such as to sort by "Name: A to Z" or something else, but if users could bulk-change the "Sort By" option, everyone would be able to quickly change multiple albums, tags, or People to the sort order they prefer. Perhaps with a warning that it will override any Sort by selections already made, including custom order.

  Yes, this would be so valuable, especially for those of us who manage other people's collections.
