I'd like to be able to copy and then edit shared projects
AnsweredI used a create & print template for a book after a family cruise. I ordered a copy and shared the link with my daughters who were also on the cruise. Although they can copy the project to their account and add the book to their cart to order a copy, they'd really love to be able to edit the copy adding more of their own photos and modifying text before ordering a copy. When I make a copy in my account, I can edit that...why can't they do the same?

Hi Debbie, great question! The current Create & Print functionality has projects reference photos on a person's account when it is in an editable format. Once the online-designed project is purchased, that project becomes uneditable. When you create a copy of a project in your account to change it back to editable, that now-editable copy returns to look at your account for the exact photos you used.
You can read under "Print Projects" in this article for more information!
However, when the project is shared with others, they do not have the exact same photo(s) for the project to look at their account and place into the now-editable project for them. This means if we did allow others to copy to their account and make the project editable then all of the photos would disappear from the project (essentially having them start from scratch with needing to add photos to every page again).
Having a sort of collaborative photo book creation—or allowing others to use one copy as a jumping-off point—is definitely a great idea though! Rest assured your feedback has been logged for the proper team members to review for a potential future update.
