Edited Photo Doesn't Retain Facial ID

A portrait photo was scanned in landscape mode, and facial recognition was accurate. After editing the photo to rotate it to the correct portrait mode, it lost all facial recognition. Is there a way to reapply facial recognition after this type of editing?

  Deb if you use the Rotate Left/Right button under the three dots it preserves the facial recognition.  If you edit the photo then a new copy of the photo is created and you lose the facial recognition.  What I found is that if I download the new photo, then delete it in my account, and reupload facial recognition will run again.
