Artisan Preview: Show Safe Trim View
I do a pretty good job of keeping "important things" inside the safe zone of the Artisan Print Guides, but that doesn't mean I am going to like how the layout looks if the trimming does hit that mark. I'd like to be able to design in a view that shows the max trim line (safe zone).
Right now the two page view and the print preview show us the Trim Line view. So, I designed my pages in that view. It is amazing how much a difference that 1/4" makes when it gets trimmed off. I'd rather design with the view only showing me the safe zone.

I totally agree. So many clients think the line that is shown is where they need to stay inside. I am so tired of telling them it needs to be 1/4 inch inside that line. Makes no sense to them. They would rather see the line be what they use to design.

I agree too! It is so frustrating to have to guess where the trim zone actually is.

The trim lines and what actually prints is always a challenge. Anything that can make this more accurate would be a tremendous improvement. I would also add that getting printing of photos that cross the gutter needs to be improved, too. There is no way to really accommodate photos that go across the gutter with the current printer.

Totally agree. Your preview should be safe
