Please support EPUB documents

The only document format currently supported by Forever is PDF. That is a great format, but it is designed for pages with a fixed layout, which makes it difficult to read on small screens such as smart phones and tablets; after making the text large enough to read comfortably, one has to scroll back and forth to read the text. An ebook format that allows re-flowing text to fit smaller screens is needed to comfortably display documents on smaller screens such as the devices my grandkids will probably prefer.

While there are lots of ebook formats, the EPUB format is probably the best for archival storage. It is vendor-independent and supported on nearly any device. It is a publicly available standard published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and endorsed by the Book Industry Study Group (BISG). Open source readers are available so can be incorporated into the Forever site and app with minimal effort.

Please add .epub as a supported Forever format.

Another useful document format that could very easily be supported by Forever is a plain text file (.txt). Although it doesn't support embedded photos, not all documents need them. For example, it would be nice to be able to include a .txt transcript of an audio file interview.
