Option for photos in PRIVATE albums to NOT show in the library
I am regularly in a position to be reviewing my library with another person present. As an ambassador, I am frequently helping clients learn how to use their accounts. Every few months, I add to my account some photos that I don't want others to see or "happen upon" as we're viewing my library (i.e. surgery, childbirth, weird mole, etc. š). I would like to be able to "hide" photos in my library. Even if it's simply an option when I set the privacy on an album. There could be a button that says "Hide in library?" when "Private" is selected. I realize that may be difficult on the developing end, but it would be helpful for photos we'd rather not have pop up as we're scrolling. Thanks for listening!

Agreed, I and some of my clients were not happy to see some photos when you open up your account.Ā It is annoying when you want to do a screen shot of the opening page.Ā Sometimes, I have made a point of taking photos of "whatever" just so the good photos would not be showing for others. I love the idea of " hiding" them in some way.Ā Ā Thank you for listening.

Agreed. I show my account to others all the time and I don't want them to see my recently uploaded driver's licence, passport, telephone bill, etc. These are all items that go into my private albums so I'd love to have the capability of hiding them from view in my library. Hopefully, it's something we could have a toggle for - turn it on and turn it off.

Isn't that why we have demo accounts?Ā So we arent' using our personal accounts for training?Ā Ā

Karla - I use my business accounts for training videos the team I'm a part of has created. I can send clients there to see these recordings. My business account is full.

It's not just me for my business because I can certainly use my demo account. I have had clients want this for the same reasons. I have an aunt who has a lot of photos from surgeries, dermatologist visits, etc. When I help her, she always comments that she wishes she didn't have to have everything in her library show. This is a very good next step to our functionality in the Library.Ā

This is an ESSENTIAL feature. I have many documents and photos that are private, but there is currently no wat to make them truly private in the library/gallery

Yes, this is an important request, especially since we talk about the privacy within FOREVER.

I totally agree!!! I have been in legal situations where I have photos of foster children to share with possible foster parents and/or photos from fosters to share with biological family, however itās illegal to share those publicly. It is so hard to bury those photos to try and make sure none surface accidentally. I have the same issue with albums when shared and I donāt want nested albums to be shared. I would LOVE an option to either share the nested albums or NOT share nested albums. There are times that both options are needed.

I agree. My young grandchildren love looking through my albums and I would like to keep the private albums off limits for them.

Yes, this is something we need, I would like to upload a passport and not worry that it will show up on the gallery. Maybe be able to create and lock an album I don't want to show on the gallery and would need to create a password to enter that album.

This is so needed. I was working in my account this weekend with my grandchild to select photos she wanted printed for her album.Ā As we were going through the gallery to find those that did not get tagged or assigned to her previously, I had to scoot past some of the images that are in a private album.Ā Please consider this a necessary fix for us.

I have given this a lot of thought while working in my account over the past year, and hiding things in private albums does not seem like an ideal solution. ALL of my albums are private, so nothing would show up in my gallery, which is an important "tool". It seems a better solution might be to mark specific FILES as private. We definitely need something, but exactly what the solution may be is difficult to determine without knowing what options might be being considered.
