Design & Print Photo Book Feature Upgrade Request
I think the D&P features are too limited for those customers who are used to using Shutterfly but don't have or want to purchase Artisan. D&P should have features that are a step-up from Auto Print. I would like to see the D&P photo books (standard and seamless) include the following features:
1. the ability to add (multiple) text boxes to pages so that we are not locked into only a small percentage of the layouts with one set text box per page.
2. the ability to switch a text box to a photo box, and photo box to a text box.
3. the ability, like in auto print, to change the cover and background color/texture/design of the pages
4. if a photo box isn't filled, it should not print grey - it just shouldn't print, like the text box.

I'd like to add requests for:
5. a more advanced text box - the ability to change font, size and color
6. a much better selection of layouts - the layout options are too limited - it's frustrating

I would also like to see more of the advanced functionality in design & print similar to Shutterfly that allows in advance basically puts all objects in edit mode
- can adjust the box size for a photo or text box, adjust the layout from landscape to portrait, remove & add additional photo & text boxes, add/remove embellishments, and more....

I just helped my MIL create books for her siblings and since I haven't done a book in a while, the lack of options for doing a book, compared to what it was with Autobook and Design & Print before was quite frustrating. Couldn't change the cover or back cover. Only had option to put photos on back cover, so she took pictures of paper and put them there to fill those spaces. I was thoroughly disappointed. The options we had before were awesome and now Shutterfly and other photo book makers have the advantage.
