Historian™ software is a desktop program to organize and edit your photos.
It is recommended to protect your memories by having a backup plan in the event of a computer or drive failure. Backup files should be stored on a separate drive from the one that you use for storing files and working in Historian. If you also have a Shadow Copy, the Incremental Backup and Shadow Copy should also be on separate drives.
There are a few different ways to backup your vault:
- Create a manual backup completed of your vault.
- Create and maintain a shadow copy of your vault.
- Copy and paste the entire vault folder onto an external hard drive through File Explorer. The Historian™ program should be closed when this method is used.
