You can delete unwanted photos from your FOREVER® Storage, however, this can have repercussions on your account and current online projects. Please review the areas below to ensure the photo you are deleting will not have any negative impacts to other areas of your account.
Albums and Tags
First, please note that the Gallery is where all the memories in your account live. If you delete something from here, it will also disappear from any Albums and/or Tags. You do have the ability to recover a photo from the delete bin within a certain timeframe, but it will NOT keep the Album or Tag information you originally assigned to it. This means you will need to organize the photo again into the Albums(s) and/or Tag(s) you want it in.
People
Just like Albums and Tags, if a photo is deleted, then it will lose the connected People identifier. But you can recover the image by viewing the lightbox and manually re-adding People to the photo.
Print Projects
If you are currently working online with a Create & Print project (such as an AutoBook, calendar, blanket, photo prints, etc.), the deleted photo will be removed from that project. If you recover the photo from the delete bin, it will NOT come back into the current workable project. This means you will need to manually re-add the photo into the project so it can be printed.
If you have already ordered a project created online, deleting the photo from your account will NOT affect the already ordered project. This is because it changes from a workable project to a printable PDF that our print shop can easily process. If you create a copy of the printed project, any deleted photos will be removed from the new, workable copy.
Artisan and Historian
Our desktop software, Artisan and Historian, are meant to work offline. They only connect to your FOREVER account using the internet when you send or receive information important to the project/cabinet. This means you can transfer photos from your FOREVER Storage account to Artisan and Historian, and if any of them are deleted from Storage, they will not be removed from the project and/or cabinet they were transferred to. Vice versa, if you have it in your Artisan project or Historian cabinet and remove the photo from there, it will remain in your FOREVER Storage account.
Should you want a deleted photo back in your Storage, you can easily send it from your Historian cabinet, but the process isn't easy (nor a guarantee) that you'll be able to reclaim the photo from an Artisan project. If you have accidentally deleted photos from your Storage account but still have them available in an Artisan project, please contact FOREVER Client Care at support@forever.com or 1-888-FOREVER (367-3837) for assistance retrieving them.
