In FOREVER®, you have the ability to edit any photo you’ve uploaded into your account. To access these features, simply click on the photo you wish to work on and click "Edit."
You’ll then have the opportunity to edit your photo as a copy of the original. After editing, you can choose to keep or delete the original version. Below is an overview of the different options available to you as you work on adjusting and perfecting your precious family memorabilia. Before getting started, though, keep these facts in mind:
--The SAVE button, found in the top righthand corner, is only meant to be selected once you have completed making all of your desired edits to your photo—it does NOT need to save each individual action. To save any changes you have made while you work, you must hit the back arrow in the bottom left-hand corner.
The Undo button, found in the top right-hand corner, will erase any recent changes that you have made. For example, if you crop an image and then make a large red checkmark on it and change your mind, click undo once to remove the checkmark (last edit) and then click it again to remove the crop BEFORE. Hit save to keep both edits and see the newly edited image in your account.
Transform (Crop)
When using the cropping tool, you have the ability to custom-resize your photo or use one of the suggested sizes. The FB sizes are already the correct proportions for Facebook. You can also rotate and flip with the options at the top of the screen within Transform. A rotation adjusting bar is also within this editing window. Click the back arrow to save your transformations and continue editing your image.
Filters
Filters, the next tool, lets you cast effects over the entire photo. You can adjust the saturation of these effects by altering the Intensity (center adjuster), and you can sort through filters by clicking the “All” option next to the back arrow. Please keep in mind that if you sort through these categories, you must then select the name of the category again and NOT hit the back arrow in order to go back to the full list of filters available. To save your changes, hit the back arrow in the bottom left-hand corner in order to save your filter changes.
Adjust
Right beside the Filter tool is the Adjust feature. Here lies an assortment of options, including Brightness, Saturation, Contrast, Clarity, Exposure, Shadows, Highlights, and more. Adjust the slider bar for further control.
You can continue switching between these tools until you are satisfied and then choose the back arrow in the bottom left-hand corner to save all of your changes.
Text
Add additional documentation to any photo by using the Text tool. Adjust the size, font, alignment along the bottom of the screen. To change the orientation, grab the corners of the box to resize, move and rotate. You may customize the color of your font in the bottom right-hand corner. To save any edits you make, just hit the back arrow in the bottom left-hand corner.
Stickers
For a playful touch, you can use the Stickers tool. Browse the bottom of your screen, or use the “All” function to sort through certain categories like emoticons and shapes. Please keep in mind that if you choose a category, you must hit the name of the category again to exit. You can use the arrows on the element to resize it, as well as play with the orientation toward the upper middle of your photo. If you opt to delete your sticker altogether, simply hit the trash can at the end of those options.
Brush
The next tool, the Brush tool, allows you to draw on your photo. You can adjust the color and intensity of your paintbrush. In order to undo any actions you made, select the undo button in the top-right corner of your screen and then select the back arrow to move out of the Bruch tool.
Focus
The next tool, the Focus tool, allows you to pinpoint exactly where you want other’s eyes to be drawn when viewing your photo. You can choose between None, Radial, or Mirrored focus, depending on your photo. Notice how the boy is clear and the edges are blurry now after applying the radial focus adjuster.
Upon choosing one of these options, you then have the additional abilities to adjust the size of your focus range (by clicking on the white circle and dragging to resize) and determine the strength of your blur in the background. Click the back arrow in the bottom left-hand corner to save this editor and continue.
Frame
The last tool, the Frame tool, allows you to place a frame around your photo. You can adjust the width of your border as well as the color. Click the back arrow to save your changes.
Once completely satisfied with your photo’s alterations, hit the blue SAVE button in the top right-hand corner of your screen to preserve all of your edits. Once finished, you will be brought back to the image lightbox view. Then you can choose to keep both the original image and the edited one or just save the new one for your Storage.
Happy editing!
